Wow! I don’t even know where to begin. Los Angeles was such a whirlwind experience from start to finish. The women who gave a week of their lives to come together and learn, share, and create humbled me greatly. I don’t think I’ll ever get over what a beautiful, precious thing these experiences are!

Today, I’m going to recap Day I for y’all! Tomorrow and the following day I will cover the rest of the workshop.

So, Day I! The speakers met before all the attendees arrived and there was such a sense of anticipation in the air. We were just ready for the attendees to arrive and to get the party started!

I chose the Lombardi House as the backdrop to this school because I immediately fell in love with the bright light space. It’s nestled in the heart of Hollywood and feels like a little escape from the hustle and bustle outside. All around stunning.

Jeni, now a sweet friend, and owner of Found Vintage offered to furnish the whole space for us! The process of picking and choosing furniture to fill up the Lombardi House was such a fun one and I’m so impressed by every member of Jeni’s team. And don’t even get me started on her furniture, runners, and other accessories. So in love.

Marigold + Grey created the most perfect welcome boxes for our attendees! Inside were goodies from Moon + Lola, Fox Hollow Design Co., Paper + Honey, Rifle Paper Co., Simply Jessica Marie, SS Print Shop, Sugarfina, and Well-Kept. The boxes were styled with the perfect blush ribbon from Adorn and watercolor tags by Parris Chic. Paper Birch Designs created one-of-a-kind watercolored wooden place cards for each attendee!

We kept the tables simple and Kim of Art with Nature took my idea for a desert header and used gorgeous white and vintage pots full of the prettiest succulents! Throw in color blocked bistro chairs, a huge chalkboard covered in Alyssa’s art, and tons and tons of blooms and you have this beautiful set up!

When attendees arrived they were greeted by the Juicebox truck (and our smiling faces, of course)! I personally had the Beachbox – thai coconut water, ginger, + key lime. So, so good!

I love starting out each workshop getting to know the speakers + attendees! It’s so fun to hear from each person why they came and what they are excited about.

We then jumped into our first three sessions taught by myself, Jeni, and Danielle!

The hands-on styling sessions are my favorite. I loved all of the beautiful details Paper Birch Designs + Parris Chic created for our attendees to play with!

After styling their hearts out, attendees created a custom drink at the Gin + Tonic Bar! Parris Chic created these amazing custom signs, beautifully held by Theoni pieces. Sparkle Motion Decor made the fun fringe drink stirrers for us!

With their gin + tonic in hand, attendees went out on the lawn where they heard from Leila Lewis of Be Inspired PR.

Parris Chic created the cutest blue water color cards for our food labels and Simply Brigaderio made the sweetest treats! After eating, we did our fun “speed dating” event. Such a wonderful way to end the first evening!

That’s it for Day I but come back tomorrow for Day II’s recap!
