A few days ago, you got to read about the first part of The Summer Bash, featuring our mini workshop. If you missed out on it, you can read about it here.

After the classroom portion of our Summer Bash ended, we had more guests arrive to attend our cocktail party. The ladies were adjourned from class, then headed out to the lawn for mingling with friends, yard games, and live painting by Meredith Parker. We had a blank canvas set up beside Meredith, along with a variety of colors for a chance to “free paint” along side of her. Her live painting turned out absolutely stunning with mixtures of pinks and golds, and one lucky guest got to take it home with her to keep. All of our signage was hand created by Sidney Hunter Design Co, and she couldn’t have done a better job!

The Carriage House, which is the beautiful new addition to the Merrimon-Wynne House, was filled with delicious food and drinks, live music, an enticing dessert bar by Sugar Euphoria, and the cutest photo booth with a hand-painted backdrop by Aviation Studio. Swoozies provided adorable flamingo cups, pineapple plates, and other paper products that fit perfectly with our fun, bright summer theme. We were also so excited that Paisley and Jade joined us and adorned the space with vintage vignette’s that went along beautifully with the Summer Bash aesthetics.

Throughout the evening, we surprised our guests with giveaway from the best sponsors. In order to win one of the prizes, our guests had to post on Instagram using our hashtag, #TSOSsummerbash. We scrolled through the hastag and chose our winner at random. We gave away so many great prizes, we wished we could’ve won them, ourselves!

  • Parris Chic Boutique gave away a basket full of custom PCB goodies.
  • Greige Designs gave away a basket tote with throw blankets and a coffee table book.
  • Marigold & Grey gave away the coolest man’s gift, a wooden crate filled with manly supplies.
  • Tieks gave away a $200 gift card.
  • Moon and Lola gave over $200 worth of custom M&L jewelry
  • And the Meredith Parker painting

So many fun treats to win! Another great part of the evening consisted of our TSOS Chapel Hill table. Our guests could browse the informational table while enjoying a cookie from Southern Sugar Bakery. Afterall, our workshops are the bread and butter of what we do!

This night was so fun, filled with lots of sweet community. The guests left just as the thunderstorm rolled in and had just enough time to grab a lollipop favor provided by From Sir With Love before the downpour. We couldn’t be more thankful for our amazing sponsors and everyone who contributed to make such a fun night! Check out our photo booth images below!

  1. How much fun!! I hope y’all do this again + soon. I have to make it out for the next one!
