Today, we have Amanda of Fashionable Hostess with us to share some Galentine’s inspiration! Amanda has been featured before on our blog. Check out Home for the Holidays with Fashionable Hostess + Fashionable Hostess Home Tour.
This year I am hosting my best girlfriends for a decadent “Galentine’s Night In” to celebrate our friendship, nibble on in total “anti-diet” treats, sip way too much bubbly, and indulge in some especially girly chick flicks! While the dress code may be stretchy pants, I love making the display over the top girly and fancy! And since it’s a movie night, the coffee table seemed like the perfect place to set up the display!!
So on to my display… The brand Juliska is the definition of girly and elegant, so I thought their Amalia flutes alongside my rose champagne would be so pretty. Then for desserts I gave each attendee their own mini box of Laduree macarons (they did a special box of rose and vanilla for Valentine’s Day!) and I served little sprinkled cakes that I picked up at the grocery, but anything that resembles funfetti would do! Not featured are the sushi boats we ate for dinner!
The best part of the display though is all of the decorative elements I included. I started by lining my coffee table with gold speckled paper placemats so my display would pop! I am big on using placemats or tablecloths!! Then it’s all about sprinkling pops of pink!! I filled one cup with pink rock candy and another cup with pink and white striped straws, and of course I placed several vases of bright pink roses! I love pretty scented candles (aren’t these Anthropologie match sticks super cute too!!). And how cute are these coasters?
I hope this inspires you to host a perfectly girly night in with your girlfriends! Happy Galentines Day!!
